Ngai Ming Yip is professor of Housing and Urban Studies in the Department of Public Policy, City University of Hong Kong. He is also programme director of the Master in Housing Studies Programme and leader of the urban and housing stream in the department. He has been engaged in the teaching of housing and urban policy as well as housing management for over twenty years. He is an active researcher on housing and urban policy of Hong Kong and Asian cities and has edited four books and published over 80 academic papers in international academic journals and book chapters in academic and professional books. He has been Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Housing Asian Pacific Branch in 2013 and 2013 and is still serving as a member of its Executive Committee as well as Chairman of the Policy Committee of the Branch. Ngai Ming Yip is also a member of the Commercial Properties Committee of the Hong Kong Housing Authority since 2015.
