Award Categories


Residential Nomination NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Nominated property must be a building or structure that is used for dwelling purposes.
  • Open to properties in Hong Kong only.
  1. Large-Scale Residential Property Management (1,501 units or above)
  • Nominated property must consist of 1,501 units or above.
  • Major function of the nominated property must be for residential use.
  1. Medium-Scale Residential Property Management (201 – 1,500 units)
  • Nominated property must consist of 201–1,500 units.
  • Major function of the nominated property must be for residential use.
  1. Small-Scale Residential Property Management (200 units or below)
  • Nominated property must consist of 200 units or below.
  • Major Function of the nominated property must be for residential use.
  1. Subsidised Housing Property Management (PRH, HOS, TPS, SMS, PSPS, GSH, SCHS, BRO)
  • Nominated property must fall under one of the following categories:
    • Public Rental Housing (PRH)
    • Home Ownership Scheme (HOS), including:
      • Tenants Purchase Scheme (TPS)
      • Secondary Market Scheme (SMS)
      • Private Sector Participation Scheme (PSPS)
      • Green Form Subsidised Home Ownership Pilot Scheme (GSH)
    • Sandwich Class Housing Scheme (SCHS)
    • The Buy or Rent Option (BRO)
  • Major function of the nominated property must be for residential use.
Non-Residential Nomination
  • Nominated property must be a building or structure that is not deemed to be attributable to residential use.
  • Open to properties in Hong Kong only.
  1. Shopping Centre Management
  • Nominated property must be indoors, air-conditioned and either on the lower floors of a residential or commercial development or freestanding.
  • Nominated property must provide commercial activities including:
    • The sales of convenience and comparison goods
    • The provision of retail services and dining services
  1. Office Building Management
    (Small- & Medium-Scale Office Building – below 300,000 sq. ft.)
  • The total area of the nominated property must be below 300,000 sq. ft.
  • Major function of the nominated property must be for office activities.
  1. Office Building Management
    (Large-Scale Office Building – 300,000 sq. ft. or above)
  • The total area of the nominated property must be 300,000 sq. ft. or above.
  • Major function of the nominated property must be for office activities.
  1. Industrial & Car Park Building Management
  • Nominated property must be for industrial land use types which mainly accommodate ordinary multi-storey factory buildings, purpose-built godowns and dual-purpose industrial buildings.
  1. Institutional Facility Management
  • Nominated property must be for a governmental or institutional use which meets the community’s needs.
International Innovative Strategic Management Nomination
  • Open to all types of properties in Hong Kong or overseas*

    *Overseas nomination(s) must be initiated by a member of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) or The Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies (HKAPMC)
  1. International Innovative Strategic Management
  • Nominated property must show at least one smart application of creative innovations and technologies.
  • Nominated property must demonstrate the integration of innovative uses of cutting-edge technologies into property management.
  • No Site Visits are required for nominations under this category, only Stage 1 (First Screening) and Stage 3 (Finalists Presentation to Judging Panel cum Conference) are applicable.

 

The finalists will be awarded with the following award types:

Award Type Description
Grand Awards* This is the highest recognition to buildings or facilities at the category level.
Excellence Award* There will be recognition of excellence for each nominated category.
Certificate of Merit* There will be recognition of merit(s) for each nomination that has passed the first screening, Site Visits and that has been presented at the Finalist Presentation to Judging Panel cum Conference.

*QPFMA 2018 Organising Committee reserves the right not to bestow an award if the Judging Panel deems that no nomination is worth receiving that particular award. The decision of the Judging Panel shall be final.
