The Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies
Dr. Johnnie Chan is the incumbent President of The Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies, the Immediate Past President of The Hong Kong Institute of Housing and the Past Chairman of the Housing Managers Registration Board.
Dr Chan has been appointed to serve in a number of public and voluntary services. Apart from being a member of the Hong Kong Housing Authority and its Building Committee / Commercial Properties Committee, he is currently the Deputy Commissioner of the Auxiliary Medical Service, a non-official member of the Correctional Services Department Complaints Appeal Board, a member of the Waste Reduction Projects Vetting Subcommittee of the Environment and Conservation Fund, a member of the Security Services Training Board of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), Adjunct Professor and Internal Examiner of The University of Hong Kong, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urban Planning and Design, Deputy External Academic Advisor (MA in Housing Studies), Department of Public Policy of City University of Hong Kong, Chairman of CLP Customer Consultative Group and a co-opted member of the Community Liaison Committee under the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health.
Over the decades, Dr Chan has served on a number of Government boards and committees, including the Corruption Prevention Advisory Committee of the Independent Commission Against Corruption, the Municipal Services Appeal Board, the Appeal Board of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, the Real Estate Services Training Board of VTC, the Professional Services Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health, etc. He has also been a Subject Specialist of the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications.
Dr. Chan is a veteran professional in the real estate sector with over 40 years of services in the private sector including Savills Services Group, Hutchison Whampoa Property Group and Hongkong Land Group.
