Mr. Alex Ho is at the forefront of transforming Hong Kong’s construction industry by integrating advanced technologies to enhance safety, productivity, and sustainability.

A leader in industry innovation, Mr. Ho is dedicated to promoting the adoption of advanced tools and methodologies that raise standards across productivity, sustainability, safety, and quality. He has been a strong proponent for implementing innovative solutions such as Digital Twin technology, Building Information Modelling (BIM), Modular Integrated Construction (MiC), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, and the Smart Site Safety System (4S) within the sector. By advocating these advancements, Mr. Ho aims to modernise the construction landscape in Hong Kong.

Beyond his efforts in technological adoption, Mr. Ho oversees the administration of the $2.2 billion Construction Innovation and Technology Fund (CITF), which fosters both technological progress and workforce development. He also champions innovation by showcasing exemplary projects and design through platforms like the MiC Resource Centre, Centre for Future Construction, and the Construction Innovation and Technology Application Centre (CITAC).

In addition, Mr. Ho advances industry research and the dissemination of best practices through his management of the CIC Research and Technology Development Fund (R&D Fund). This work supports ongoing research initiatives, the establishment of industry standards, and the creation of reference materials to reinforce leading practices within the field.

Mr. Ho is a Chartered Engineer with more than three decades of expertise in digital solutions for the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Owner-operated sectors. He previously served as a Founding Board Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling from 2008 to 2016 and is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Civil and Building Information Management.
